On a Sunday there were many visitors to the Singapore Botanic Gardens this morning. The year is ending and I doubt if I will make another trip there before the year is out. As with all my trips to the park with my husband, the objective was really to look for insects to photograph. I am sad to report that the insect population here and in other parks are in a dismal state. That means that we hardly saw any insects other than a few grasshoppers and common flies and hoppers unlike the interesting encounters we had with a great variety of insect species in most of the parks we visited. Still, the Singapore Botanic Gardens was a good place to take a walk in because of the flowers.
