West Coast Park - Mushroom delight

Some people are not fond of mushrooms or fungi in general. Some only like them only if they can be eaten. I like them on sight because they can be photographed left, right and centre as unlike creatures like skinks and squirrels and birds, they are perfect models for me because of their immobility.

This morning, like another morning previously, was particularly refreshing because again, I saw this same kind of mushroom blossoming underneath the same tree where I had parked my car. They were newly bloomed, pretty, unblemished and most of all still standing till they are rudely disturbed by passers-by with no appreciation of their brief beauty and perhaps also the force of a heavy downpour.

A short walk after photographing the mushrooms.
Giant Pandanus plants, relatives of the Pandan plant.
A MacArthur Palm shedded its flowers.
Shady path made walking pleasant.
The flower of the Putat Laut discarded at dawn by the tree.
We do not have the benefit of space entirely dedicated to Nature.
Ship repairing business that keep growing and encroaching on the sea view.

Hibiscus flowers aplenty.

Carpet of flowers, a delight to see.
Sea Grape trees leaning seaward.
Coconut trees growing next to Pine trees. Come to Singapore for diversity.

The fragrant Cannonball tree flower.
The Park workers take pride in their tasks.

Goodbye friends. We will never meet again.
